Former Minister and United National Party member Ravi Karunanayake said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe is a democratic leader, despite reports that suggest otherwise.
“There have been various comments from different individuals. The President’s political journey focuses on protecting democracy. What we need right now is not to make jokes, but to safeguard public trust,” Karunanayake emphasized addressing the media.
May 24 - The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has today granted special leave to appeal in a high-profile bribery case against former Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake.
The case centers around allegations that Karunanayake accepted an apartment from Arjun Aloysius, a director of a primary dealer company.
